The Friends Guild of LMFA
Mission Statement: The Friends Guild of the Longview Museum of Fine Arts provides members with special art-focused programming throughout the year along with a wide variety of volunteer opportunities.
Proceeds raised by the Friends enable LMFA to purchase much needed equipment for the Museum and to acquire new works of art for the Permanent Collection.
Get Involved - Join The LMFA Friends!
The Guild meets the 1st Tuesday of each month, January - December at 5:30 pm.
OPENING NIGHT RECEPTIONS: Volunteers provide hors d'oeuvres and other foods for sampling during our opening night receptions. They may also serve beverages, replenish the food table and help set up and clean up. These opening receptions are held for the benefit of the members before the exhibit is opened to the public and most openings feature a chance to meet the artist and entertainment.
GREETERS: Volunteers serve as greeters during the Museum’s regular business hours. As greeters, they answer phones, direct visitors and art students and assist with Museum mailings and other miscellaneous office needs.
MUSEUM SPRING CLEANING DAY: Twice a year, guild members gather to sort through and reorganize the Museum’s various areas: classrooms, kitchen & workrooms.
